How to Make Peanut Butter Burgers

  • Step 1 – Cook Bacon – Cook the bacon until crispy based on your preference.  Set aside. 
  • Step 2 – Heat Grill – Preheat a grill over medium heat (approximately 350-400 degrees F).

Step 3 – Form Beef Patties – Form the ground beef into 6 patties approximately ⅓ pound each.

Step 4 – Add patties to grill – Place on the grill over direct heat.  Season the patties with salt and pepper.

Step 6 – Cook Patties – Cook for 5-6 minutes per side until the patties reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.

Step 7 – Heat Peanut Butter – Microwave the peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl on high for 30 seconds.  Place the hamburger buns on the grill for approximately 1 minute to toast the buns. Remove the buns.

  • Step 8 – Top cheese on buns – Top each of the bottom buns with a slice of the cheddar cheese and a cooked burger patty. 
  • Step 9 – Add the Peanut Butter Sauce on Patties – Then spread the warmed peanut butter on top of the patties.  Top with 2 slices of the cooked bacon and the topped bun.  
  • Step 10 – Serve and Enjoy – Serve warm and enjoy with your favorite burger toppings such as lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onions and mayo.

Tips for the Best Burger

  • Mixing Ingredients – Be careful not to over-mix the beef or the burgers will be tough.  Just mix with your hands until just combined in a large bowl. 
  • Cooking Patties – Use an instant-read meat thermometer to make sure that the beef is cooked to a safe temperature before eating.  
  • Prepare Grill – Heat grill to medium high heat and oiling the grates to prevent the patties from sticking.
  • Cheese – Feel free to layer your burger with different types of cheese. You can use sharp cheddar cheese or Colby Monterrey Jack Cheese.
