  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 6 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 6 hamburger buns

  • Preheat the Blackstone Grill over medium high heat (approximately 400 degrees F).
  • Add the butter to the grill and spread it out with a spatula.
  • Add the sliced mushrooms to the grill and season it with half the garlic salt.  Toss to sauté the mushrooms in the butter and garlic salt.
  • Divide the ground beef into 6 even balls (approximately 1/3 lb each).
  • Place the ground beef on the Blackstone grill next to the mushrooms.
  • Press firmly on the ground beef balls into the Blackstone Grill.  Do not smash it all the way down but just press slightly to form a burger patty.
  • Season the beef with the remaining garlic salt and pepper.
  • Cook the patties for 3-5 minutes until the sides of the patties begin to change colors.
  • Flip the burgers (do not smash them down) and cook until burgers are cooked through (3-4 more minutes).
  • Top each patties with the cooked sliced mushrooms and a piece of the Swiss cheese. Allow the cheese to melt onto the patties (1-2 minutes).
  • Remove the beef and add them to one of the hamburger buns.
  • Then add your favorite burger toppings and enjoy!

These burgers are delicious served as is, but are also great topped with steak sauce of A1 sauce as well.
Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
Use any oil with a high smoke point. Vegetable oil, canola oil, coconut oil or avocado oil will all work great in this recipe.
