For the Topping:
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 2 teaspoons dried minced onion
For the Sliders:
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 12 King’s Hawaiian rolls
- 9 ounces thinly sliced deli ham
- 8 ounces thinly sliced Swiss cheese
Preheat the Blackstone grill with two heat zones: one set to medium-low heat and the other set to low heat.
In a small saucepan, combine butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, poppy seeds, and dried minced onion. Place the saucepan on the medium-low heat zone and stir until the butter is completely melted and the ingredients are combined. Remove from heat.
Slice King’s Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected if possible. Set the tops aside.
Melt butter on the low heat zone of the Blackstone grill. Place the bottom half of the rolls cut side down on the griddle and toast lightly until golden brown.
Place thinly sliced deli ham on the griddle next to the rolls, arranging it into sections about the same size as the rolls. Top the ham with thinly sliced Swiss cheese and cook for 1–2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
Remove the toasted bottom rolls from the griddle and carefully place the ham and melted cheese on top. Add the top half of the rolls.
Brush the prepared butter topping evenly over the tops of the rolls.
Separate into individual sliders and serve warm. Enjoy!
Keep the rolls connected when slicing and assembling to make the sliders easier to build and serve.
Cover the ham and cheese briefly with a melting dome or foil on the Blackstone to help the cheese melt faster.
Watch the rolls closely while toasting since Hawaiian rolls can brown quickly because of their sweetness.
You can substitute turkey, roast beef, provolone, or cheddar cheese for easy variations.
These sliders are best served warm but can be wrapped in foil to keep warm for parties or game day gatherings.
