Blackstone Smashed Potatoes

  • Add the potatoes to a large pot and cover them with water. Bring the water to a boil and boil the potatoes for 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are fork tender.
  • Drain the potatoes and allow them to cool slightly.
  • Heat the Blackstone Grill over high heat.
  • Place the butter on the griddle and spread it out with a spatula.
  • Then place the cooked potatoes on the Blackstone grill and press them down with a cast iron press or your spatula.
  • Top the potatoes with half of the oil, salt and pepper. Cook for a few minutes (3-5 minutes) until the potatoes are golden brown.
  • Then flip the potatoes, season the other side with the oil, salt and pepper. Cook for a few more minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove from the grill and serve warm with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!

Notes

*Refrigerate any leftover potatoes in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
*The cooking time will vary based on the size of your potatoes, so use your best judgement on when to flip the potatoes.
