Blackstone Taco Burger combines two of my favorites. Taco seasoning and salsa is combined with ground beef to make a delicious burger.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground Beef
  • 2 Tablespoons Taco Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup Chunky Salsa
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • 6 slices Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 6 Hamburger Buns
  • 2 cups Shredded Lettuce
  • 1/2 White Onion sliced
  • 1 Tomato diced

Instructions

  • Preheat the Blackstone Grill over medium high heat (approximately 400 degrees F).  Spread the oil out on the other side of the grill with a spatula.
  • Mix together the ground beef, taco seasoning and chunky sauce.  Divide the ground beef into 6 even balls (approximately ⅓ lb each).
  • Place the ground beef on the Blackstone grill on the oil.
  • Press firmly on the ground beef balls into the Blackstone Grill.  Do not smash it all the way down but just press slightly to form a burger patty.
  • Cook the patties for 3-5 minutes.
  • Flip the burgers and cook until burgers are cooked through (3-4 more minutes).
  • Place the hamburger buns on the Blackstone Grill for 1-2 minutes to brown them slightly.
  • Add a slice of the cheese to each burger patty.
  • Remove the beef and add them to one of the hamburger buns.
  • Then top each patty with the shredded lettuce, sliced onions and diced tomatoes.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
Use any oil with a high smoke point. Vegetable oil, canola oil, coconut oil or avocado oil will all work great in this recipe.
