Notes

If you are using wooden skewers, to prevent burning of the wood, you may want to cover any portion exposed to the fire with tin foil, or you may choose to use metal skewers
Additionally, if you are using wooden skewers, it is best to skewer the hot dog onto skewer before wrapping the dough around it. The hot dog only needs to be inserted about 3/4 of the way down the skewer.
Make sure to keep the crescent dough cool in your cooler before using, this will ensure a nicely baked Pig in a Blanket. When cooking your Pigs in a Blanket it is best to keep them away from a flame as they will burn on the outside and remain raw inside.
FAQ Questions: Can I substitute different kinds of sausages? Absolutely! Bratwurst, chicken sausages, and mild Italian sausages would all work well.
