How to Season your Blackstone Griddle

Yes you need to season your Blackstone but it is really easy to do. We are teaching you how to season your Blackstone griddle perfectly.

Equipment

  • Bucket of Water
  • Blackstone Griddle Seasoning and Cast Iron Conditioner
  • Heat-resistant gloves or tongs
  • Paper Towels
  • Salt
  • Soap Powder
  • Stick

Instructions

  • Before you begin seasoning the Blackstone Griddle, wash and rinse the Blackstone Griddle.
  • Then heat up the griddle and let it blacken.
  • Then add a thin layer of oil to the top of the Blackstone Griddle.  Use a paper towel to spread the oil into a thin layer on the griddle. Then wipe off all the oil.
  • Then heat the griddle back up again.  The griddle with start smoking and will blacken (should take approximately 30 minutes).  Turn the griddle off once the smoke stops.
  • Then repeat this process 2-3 more times. The griddle will continue to smoke until it’s blackened.
  • Then let the griddle cool and wipe down the griddle with the Blackstone conditioner.

Notes

Make sure to keep your griddle covered when not in use to prevent the griddle from rusting.
