- 4 pound Boneless Ham
- ½ cup Brown Sugar
- ¼ cup Maple Syrup
- ¼ cup Bourbon or Dark Rum
Preheat the smoker to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place a rack on a baking sheet and place the ham on the rack.
Then place the baking sheet in the smoker and cook for 3-4 hours until the internal temperature of the ham is 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
Add the brown sugar, maple syrup and bourbon to a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a low simmer, whisk and cook for approximately 5-10 minutes until the brown sugar is dissolved.
Remove any string from the ham and slice it.
Pour the glaze over the sliced ham and coat it with a basting brush.
Then the ham is ready to serve and enjoy!
Use an instant-read meat thermometer to make sure that the ham is cooked to a safe temperature before removing it from the smoker. A big ham will take longer to cook and a smaller ham will cook quicker.
Make sure to add chips to the smoker every 15 minutes if your smoker does not have an automatic feature.
Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
