Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat the smoker to 225 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Dry the wings off with paper towels as much as possible.
  • Place the wings in a large zip lock bag.
  • Add in the baking powder, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  • Seal the bag and toss to evenly coat the wings with the mixture.
  • Place the chicken wings directly on the grates in the smoker.  Smoke for 30-45 minutes, rotating the wings halfway through the cook time.
  • Increase the heat on the smoker to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.  Cook them for 10-15 minutes, flipping them halfway, until the chicken wings reach an internal temperature of 175 degrees Fahrenheit and the skin on the wings is crispy.
  • Remove from the smoker.  Let the wings rest for 10 minutes and then they are ready to serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!

Notes

Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
You can either dip the wings in your favorite type of wing sauce or coat them fully before serving.
