- 12-20 pound Whole Turkey fully thawed
- 1 Tablespoon Paprika
- 2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 Apple quartered
- 1 Onion quartered
- 1 Lemon sliced
Pat the turkey dry with paper towels and place the turkey on a roasting pan or a baking sheet.
Preheat a smoker to 225 degrees F with a water pan.
In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
Stuff the cavity of the turkey with the apples, onions and lemon.
Rub the seasoning mixture on the outside of the entire turkey.
Place the entire pan with the turkey in the smoker. Smoke the turkey for approximately 20-30 minutes per pound until the thickest part of the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Once the turkey has reached the internal temperature of 165 degrees F, remove it from the smoker. Genty cover it with foil and let the turkey rest for 15-20 minutes.
Then the turkey is ready to slice, serve and enjoy!
