Mix the ingredients together without overworking the meat using either a sturdy spoon or your hands.
Divide the seasoned ground beef into 8 equal portions and flatten each portion into thin patties.
Weave together 4 slices of bacon and place one of the patties on top.
Place 2 pieces of cheese in the center of each patty.
Top with another patty on top of the cheese and pinch the edges together to seal, ensuring the cheese is completely enclosed within the meat.
Weave the bacon around the patty and secure it to the patty with toothpicks. Continue this process until all of the patties are formed.
Brush the grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.
Place the burgers on the grill.
Grill the burgers for 5-8 minutes on each side, or until the bacon is cooked through and crispy.
Let the patties rest for 5 minutes before assembling and serving the burgers.
Toast the buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes.
