Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 ounces Cheddar Cheese cut into ½” thick slices
  • 16 slices Bacon 4 per patty
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 4 Brioche Buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce tomato onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard

Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Add the ground beef, Worcestershireshire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to a mixing bowl.
  • Mix the ingredients together without overworking the meat using either a sturdy spoon or your hands.
  • Divide the seasoned ground beef into 8 equal portions and flatten each portion into thin patties.
  • Weave together 4 slices of bacon and place one of the patties on top.
  • Place 2 pieces of cheese in the center of each patty.
  • Top with another patty on top of the cheese and pinch the edges together to seal, ensuring the cheese is completely enclosed within the meat.
  • Weave the bacon around the patty and secure it to the patty with toothpicks. Continue this process until all of the patties are formed.
  • Brush the grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  • Place the burgers on the grill.
  • Grill the burgers for 5-8 minutes on each side, or until the bacon is cooked through and crispy.
  • Let the patties rest for 5 minutes before assembling and serving the burgers.
  • Toast the buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove the toothpicks from the patties, assemble the burgers on the buns, adding your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Notes

Make sure you seal the patties tight around the edges. It’s all about keeping that cheese locked in and contained as it melts.
I recommend using 80/20 blend of beef for the best burgers.
