Ingredients

  • ¼ cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika or sweet
  • 1 tablespoons Cumin
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  • Mix the ingredients together in a small bowl.  Use a fork to break up any clumps as needed.
  • To use for ribs, remove the membrane from the underneath side of the rack of ribs.
  • Pat the ribs dry with a paper towel.  Then evenly apply the rub to the underneath side and the top side of the rack of ribs.  Let it marinade in the rub for at least 20 minutes before cooking (you can also refrigerate them overnight in the rub if you prefer).
  • Cook the ribs based on your preference and enjoy!
