Blackstone Catfish Filets

Ingredients

  • 4 catfish fillets
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 lemon

For the Seasoning:

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions

  • Preheat Blackstone griddle over medium heat.
  • In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and dried thyme until well combined.
  • Pat the catfish fillets dry with paper towels, then coat each fillet lightly with vegetable oil. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the fillets.
  • Add the remaining vegetable oil and butter to the griddle. When the butter has melted and the griddle is hot, place the fillets on the griddle.
  • Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  • Cut the lemon in half. Squeeze one half over the fish just before removing it from the griddle and slice the other half into wedges for serving.
  • Serve immediately while warm and enjoy!

Notes

- Don't move the fish around once placed on the griddle. 
- Fish is done when it flakes easily and is opaque throughout. 
- Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
