Ingredients

FOR THE CHICKEN:

  • 2 Chicken Breasts filleted
  • 1/2 cup White Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar

FOR THE SANDWICHES:

  • 4 Leaf Lettuce Leaves
  • 1 Tomato sliced
  • 4 Buns
  • 8 pieces Bacon cooked
  • 4 slices Colby Jack Cheese
  • Dressing or Condiment of your choice

Instructions

  • Whisk together 1/2 cup white vinegar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tablespoon salt, 2 teaspoons garlic powder, and 1/4 cup granulated sugar in a large bowl. Add 2 filleted chicken breasts and marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
  • Preheat the grill over medium high heat (400 degrees F) and rub the grill grates with oil so that the chicken does not stick.
  • Remove the 2 chicken breasts from the marinade and place them directly on the grill grates. Grill for 3 to 5 minutes per side until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
  • Move the chicken to a separate plate to rest for at least 5 minutes.
  • Warm 4 buns by microwaving them for 30 seconds or placing them face down on the grill for a few seconds until lightly browned.
  • Spread dressing or condiment of your choice on the inside of each of the 4 buns. Top each bun with 1 leaf lettuce leaf, sliced tomato, 1 grilled chicken breast half, 1 slice Colby Jack cheese, and 2 pieces cooked bacon.
  • Then sandwich is ready to serve and enjoy!

Notes

*Refrigerate any leftover chicken in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Assemble into sandwiches when you are ready to serve.
