Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp Avocado Oil
  • 1 pound Ground Chicken
  • 1/2 White Onion diced
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 8 Slices Provolone Cheese
  • 4 Hoagie Rolls
  • 1 Tbsp Butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat the Blackstone grill over medium high heat (approximately 400 degrees F).
  • Spread 1 tablespoon melted butter onto 4 hoagie rolls and place them on the grill for 1 minute to toast them slightly. Set them aside.
  • Add 1 tablespoon avocado oil to the middle of the grill and spread it around with a spatula.
  • Add 1 pound ground chicken and ½ diced white onion to the grill. Season with ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper, and ½ teaspoon garlic powder.
  • Sauté until the 1 pound ground chicken is cooked through and the ½ diced white onion is soft, about 6-8 minutes, breaking up the ground chicken as it cooks.
  • Divide the ground chicken and onions into 4 equal piles on the grill.
  • Immediately top each pile with 2 slices provolone cheese and let the cheese melt, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Use your spatula to scoop and lift each pile and place the mixture onto one of the toasted hoagie rolls.
  • Serve immediately while warm and enjoy!

Notes

I used ground chicken for this recipe but you can use thinly sliced chicken breasts instead if you prefer.
I used avocado oil but you can easily use vegetable oil, canola oil or coconut oil instead. Any oil with a high smoke point works great in this recipe.
These are best served immediately while warm but you can store the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
