Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 oz. ranch dressing mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns split and toasted
  • Optional toppings: lettuce tomato, onion, pickles, mayonnaise

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. Mix well using your hands until the seasonings are evenly distributed throughout the meat.
  • Divide the meat mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a thin patty, about 1/4-inch thick.
  • Place about 2 tablespoons of crumbled bacon and 2 tablespoons of shredded cheddar cheese in the center of each of 4 patties. Top with the remaining 4 patties and seal the edges tightly to enclose the bacon and cheese. Gently press the patties to flatten them slightly.
  • Preheat a grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the burgers for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach the desired level of
  • doneness. The internal temperature of the burgers should reach 160°F.
  • During the last minute of cooking, place the split hamburger buns cut-side down on the grill or skillet to toast lightly.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a toasted bun and adding your desired toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and mayonnaise.

Notes

- For the juiciest and most flavorful burgers, use ground beef with a higher fat content, such as 80/20 or 85/15.
- Avoid over mixing, as this can lead to tough burgers.
