Grilled Bacon Wrapped Pork Loin is full of flavor and easy to prepare. Homemade sauce is brushed on the pork loin and then wrapped in bacon.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds pork loin roast
  • 16 Slices Bacon
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  • Preheat a grill over medium high heat (approximately 400 degrees F).
  • In a small mixing bowl stir together the ketchup, brown sugar, onion powder, pepper, oregano, garlic powder and salt.
  • Brush this sauce all over the pork loin and wrap the seasoned pork loin with the bacon slices making sure that each slice overlaps the previous slice.
  • Then place the bacon wrapped pork on a large piece of foil and secure it around the pork to make a foil pack.
  • Place the foil wrapped pork on the preheated grill and cook for 60-70 minutes until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F.
  • Carefully remove the foil from the pork loin.  If the bacon is not fully browned, broil for 2-3 minutes rotating the pork loin halfway through the cook time.
  • Allow the pork to sit for 5-10 minutes (tented with foil). Then the pork is ready to slice, serve and enjoy!

Notes

Make sure to use a pork loin not a pork tenderloin for this recipe. 
You can also bake the pork loin in the oven at 400 degrees F for 60-70 minutes until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F. 
We use an instant-read meat thermometer to make sure that the pork is cooked to a safe temperature before serving.
