Ingredients

  • 6 Hot Dogs
  • 6 Hot Dog Buns
  • 1 1/2 cups Monterey Jack Cheese shredded (divided)
  • 1 1/2 cups Cheddar Cheese shredded (divided)
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter

Instructions

  • Preheat a Blackstone grill or a griddle over medium high heat.
  • Open up each of the hot dogs buns and roll them with a rolling pin to flatten them out.
  • Slice each hot dog in half lengthwise so that they lay flat on the grill but they’re still connected.
  • Add the butter to the grill or griddle. Allow it to melt and spread it out onto the grill.
  • Place all the hot dog buns onto the griddle. Top the buns with 1 cup of the shredded Monterey Jack cheese and shredded cheddar cheese evenly.
  • Place the hot dogs on the griddle next to the buns, flat side down.  Grill for a minutes until they start to brown.  Flip and cook the other side for 1-2 more minutes until it starts to brown as well.
  • Place the hot dogs onto each bun (on one side) and top with the remaining shredded cheese evenly.
  • Close the hot dog buns and continue to cook until all the cheese is melted.
  • Serve warm with ketchup and mustard.  Enjoy!

Notes

These are best served immediately while warm but leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
