Grilled Turkey Tenderloin

Grilled Turkey Tenderloin is delicious and easy to make. The turkey tenderloin is seasoned with a simple spice rub and then basted with BBQ sauce for amazing flavor.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds Turkey Breast Tenderloins
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup Barbecue Sauce divided

For the Rub:

  • ½ teaspoon Dried Thyme Leaves
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 2 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder

Instructions

  • Preheat a grill over high heat.  Rub the grill grates with the olive oil to keep the turkey tenderloin from sticking to the grill.
  • Mix the rub ingredients together in a small bowl.
  • Pat the turkey tenderloins dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture from the turkey.
  • Sprinkle the rub over the turkey and rub it so that the turkey is well coated with the rub mixture.
  • Place the turkey tenderloins directly on the grill grates.
  • Cook for 8-10 minutes per side until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • During the last few minutes of the cooking time, brush 1/4 cup of the barbecue sauce on both sides of the turkey tenderloins.
  • Remove from the grill and let the tenderloins sit for 20-30 minutes (so that the juices can settle).
  • Slice and serve with the remaining barbecue sauce.  Enjoy!

Notes

Use an instant-read meat thermometer to make sure that the turkey is cooked to a safe temperature before removing it from the smoker.  
Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
