Why This Recipe Works

I love cooking our turkey with different types of seasoning to change things up. This turkey cooks quickly and with amazing flavor. We did a dry rub but you can also use a marinade.

Expert Tips

  • Cooking – Use an instant-read meat thermometer to make sure that the turkey is cooked to a safe temperature before removing it from the grill.
  • Adding BBQ Sauce – Adding BBQ Sauce towards the end of cooking times gives the turkey so much flavor. You can add this add to the turkey whether you cook on the charcoal grill, oven, or gas grill.
  • Rest Turkey – For the best flavor, make sure to allow the turkey to rest once you remove from the grill. This helps to lock in the juices for the best tender turkey.
