  • Homemade Taco Seasoning You can use store bought taco seasoning or make your own. It is made with simple spices such as kosher salt, pepper, cumin, paprika, and chili powder.
  • Taco Variations – Feel free to make this recipe as street tacos, flank steak tacos, or chicken tacos by changing the meat.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1 – Preheat Blackstone – Heat up the Blackstone to 350-400 degrees.

Step 2 – Oil Griddle – Add oil to the Blackstone. I used avocado oil, but vegetable oil will work well.

Step 3 – Add the thawed ground beef – to the Blackstone Griddle and begin cooking.

Step 4 – Continue Cooking – Break apart and begin to cook the meat.

Step 5 – Add Taco Seasoning – As the meat cooks, sprinkle with the taco seasoning.

Step 6 – Mix in Salsa to the ground beef – Top with salsa and stir to combine. Continue breaking apart the meat is cooked through.

Step 7 – Stir in water and combine – Add in the water and stir to combine.

Step 8 – Heat Corn Tortilla – Meanwhile I like to heat up my tortillas on the Blackstone. You can cook them in butter or you can just lay them on the Blackstone to heat up.

Step 9 – Tacos are ready to serve – Remove the meat and the flour tortillas from the heat. Assemble the tacos and top taco shells with your favorite taco toppings.

Recipe Tips

  • Tortillas – We like to heat the tortillas on the griddle. You can just warm them or leave them on a little longer to give them that chewy street taco taste.
  • Taco Seasoning – Make your own taco seasoning to add more flavor to your tacos than the packet seasoning.
  • Ground Beef – We recommend using good quality ground beef when making these tacos.

How to Store Leftovers

If you have taco meat leftover, you can place it in the refrigerator. Place in a airtight container for up to 3-4 days. Taco Meat is even better the next day as the seasoning have time to really marinate in the meat.
