Recipe Tips
- Griddle – Heat the griddle and oil it to cook the ground beef on.
- Ground Beef – Add the ground beef to the hot griddle. Cook the beef while breaking it into small pieces. We recommend pushing the grease to the side to keep the fully cooked beef from being so greasy.
- Seasoning – We add salsa to the ground beef and taco seasoning. This adds flavor to the taco meat. You can easily use any type of seasoning that you prefer.
- Melting Cheese – After placing the ground beef and cheese on the tortilla chips, add it to the griddle. Cover the baking sheet and heat on the griddle for about 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- Change the Meat – Feel free to change to change the meat to cooked shredded chicken or ground turkey. These nachos would be great with leftover meat.

Frequently Asked Questions
We like using Colby Monterey Jack Cheese when making nachos. But you can use any type of cheese that you prefer.
We do recommend grating your own cheddar cheese from hunk cheese for best results. Pre-shredded cheese has added ingredients and it may not melt as well as shredded cheese.
These Blackstone Nachos are best served immediately. But if you have leftovers, you can store in the fridge for up to 2 days in an airtight container. We recommend removing the topping before storing.
Place the leftover nachos on a sheet pan and place in a preheated oven at 425 degrees. Leave in the oven for a few minutes and this will allow the chips to get crispy again.
