Ingredients

  • 1 pound Shrimp peeled, deveined with tails-on
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

For the Marinade:

  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 Habanero Peppers stem and seeds removed
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey
  • 1 Tablespoon Ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon Allspice
  • 1/2 Tablespoons Dried Thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Lime Juiced

Instructions

  • Place all the marinade ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend on high until combined and smooth.
  • Place the shrimp in a large bowl or bag. Pour the marinade on top and make sure that the shrimp is completely covered in the marinade.
  • Refrigerate and marinade for at least 20-60 minutes for the best flavor.
  • Soak wooden skewers while the shrimp is marinating so that they do not catch on fire while grilling.
  • Preheat the grill over medium high heat.
  • Thread the shrimp onto the skewers.
  • Clean the grill grates thoroughly and rub them with the olive oil to keep the shrimp from sticking to the grill.
  • Place the shrimp skewers in a single layer on the grill without overlapping. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until the shrimp is pink and cooked through.
  • Then it’s ready to serve and enjoy!

Notes

Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
You can top with extra lime juice once it’s removed from the grill to add a little bit of extract tangiest if you prefer!
