Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 6 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 6 hamburger buns

Instructions

  • Preheat the Blackstone Grill over medium high heat (approximately 400 degrees F).
  • Add 2 tablespoons butter to the griddle and spread it out with a spatula.
  • Add 6 ounces sliced mushrooms to the griddle and season with ½ teaspoon garlic salt. Toss to sauté the mushrooms in the butter and garlic salt.
  • Divide 2 pounds ground beef into 6 equal portions, approximately ⅓ pound each, and form them into balls.
  • Place the ground beef on the Blackstone grill next to the mushrooms.
  • Press firmly on the ground beef balls into the Blackstone Grill.  Do not smash it all the way down but just press slightly to form a burger patty.
  • Season the beef with the remaining ½ teaspoon garlic salt and 1 teaspoon black pepper.
  • Cook the patties for 3-5 minutes until the sides of the patties begin to change colors.
  • Flip the burgers (do not smash them down) and cook until burgers are cooked through (3-4 more minutes).
  • Top each patties with the cooked sliced mushrooms and a piece of the Swiss cheese. Allow the cheese to melt onto the patties (1-2 minutes).
  • Remove the beef and add them to one of the hamburger buns.
  • Then add your favorite burger toppings and enjoy!
