Smoked Deviled Eggs

Smoked Deviled Eggs is a twist on an old classic recipe. These deviled eggs are full of smoked flavor and easy to make with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 12 Large Eggs
  • ¼ cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons White Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoons Chopped Chives
  • ¼ teaspoon Paprika

Instructions

  • Add the eggs to a large pot and cover them with water.  Heat over medium high heat and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Remove from heat, cover and let the eggs sit in the water for 12 minutes.
  • Remove the eggs from the water and place them in an ice bath for 5 minutes to chill the eggs.
  • Preheat a smoker to 180 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Peel the eggs and carefully cut them in half.  Scoop out the yolks and place them into a mixing bowl.
  • Place the egg whites on a rack in the smoker and smoke them for 30 minutes.
  • While the eggs are cooking, mash the egg yolks in the bowl.  Stir in the mayonnaise, white vinegar, dijon mustard and salt.  Cream this mixture together with a hand held mixer to make the mixture smooth.
  • Place the mixture in a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.  Pipe the mixture onto the egg whites.
  • Top the deviled eggs with the paprika and chopped chives.
  • Chill until ready to serve and enjoy!
