Ingredients

For the Seasoning Mixture:

  • 2 teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 2 teaspoon Cumin

Instructions

  • Preheat a smoker with a water pan to 225 degrees F.
  • Mix the rub ingredients together in a shallow bowl.
  • Score the hot dogs by cutting an “X” pattern into the hot dogs with a small knife.
  • Then roll the hot dogs in the seasoning mixture.
  • Place the hot dogs directly on the grate in the smoker and cook them for approximately 1 hour until they reach an internal temperature of 155 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Serve the smoked hot dogs on the buns with your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Notes

Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
