Notes

Recipe Tips
  • Heat Griddle - Make sure to preheat griddle and add oil before adding the shrimp. This prevents the shrimp from sticking to the griddle.
  • Cooking Shrimp - Cook the shrimp until pink and then add the sauce. It only takes a few minutes to cook the shrimp on the griddle.
  • Serving - We like to serve with white rice or brown rice. It only takes about 20 minutes to cook this easy side dish.
Variations Ideas
  • Change Meat - If you are not wanting to use shrimp, you can easily make this recipe with pork, boneless skinless chicken breasts, skinless chicken thighs or steak.
  • Oil Griddle - We used avocado oil, but you can use olive oil, butter or sesame oil to cook the shrimp in.
  • Garlic - We used minced garlic but you can use fresh ginger. The teriyaki mixture will still be delicious. Taste before adding to the shrimp to make sure the seasoning is the right combination.
  • Vegetables - Feel free to add vegetables while cooking this shrimp recipe. Add red bell pepper or chopped broccoli. I like to go ahead and chop in bite size pieces to easily serve. You can even add in Pineapple Chunks. You may also love this Shrimp and Broccoli Foil Packs.
  • Serving - I like to serve with different dipping sauces. Make Homemade Yum Yum Sauce for an easy dipping sauce.
  • Spicy - Add in red pepper flakes to this mixture for an extra kick to this recipe.
