We love making fried rice for a quick and easy meal. The leftover rice, mixed with veggies and leftover meat makes it so filling and a family favorite. It is a quick Blackstone Recipe but we have also made easily in a large skillet.

This beef fried rice is loaded with flavor. The juicy strips of steak combined with the rice mixture makes this a complete meal idea. It is the perfect recipe to make with day-old rice on the griddle or on the stovetop.

Variations Ideas
- Rice – Feel free to use any type of rice that meets your diet restrictions. We have made this recipe with instant pot white rice, Cauliflower Rice, or Instant Pot Brown Rice.
- Seasoning – Fried rice can be seasoned many different ways. You can add in oyster sauce, dark soy sauce or coconut aminos for a delicious variation.
- Vegetables – You can easily add any type of veggies to this mixture. We have added in chopped broccoli and chopped cauliflower as we had some leftover.
Step by Step Instructions
- Step 1 – Preheat the Blackstone grill over medium low heat (approximately 350 degrees F).
- Step 2 – Place saran wrap over the beef and pound it on each side with a meat tenderizer. Try off any fat and cut the beef into approximately 1.5 inch strips.
- Step 3 – Whisk together the sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Step 4 – Add the butter to the griddle and use your spatula to spread it around.
- Step 5 – Place the beef on the grill on top of the butter, season it with salt and pepper and sauté until the beef is cooked through (4-6 minutes on each side). Push the steak to a cooler side of the grill.
- Step 6 – Then add in the peas and carrots mix. Sauté the vegetables for 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are soft.
- Step 7 – Move the vegetables to the cooler side of the griddle and then add the beaten eggs on the Blackstone griddle.
- Step 8 – Scramble the eggs on the griddle. Move the eggs to the cooler side of the griddle with the vegetables.
- Step 9 – Then pour the cooked rice onto the griddle and spread it out on the griddle. Pour the sauce mixture on top.
- Step 10 – Sauté the rice on the griddle for 3-4 minutes until heated through and slightly browned (tossing the rice frequently).
- Step 11 – Reduce the heat down on the griddle. Then mix together the beef, veggies, eggs and rice.
- Step 12 – Serve immediately while warm topped with the sesame seeds and green onions. Enjoy!

- Prepare Griddle – We recommend preheating griddle to medium low heat before placing the meat on the grill. This allows the meat to cook without sticking and keeps the steak tender.
- Vegetables – If you are using frozen vegetables, there is no need to thaw. You can place them on the griddle frozen.
- Combining Ingredients – Allow the rice mixture to combine together with the other ingredients for the best flavor. The large cooking surface allows to make a lot in a short amount of time.

This fried rice is delicious on the stove top making it in a skillet or a wok over medium to high heat. I still follow the same steps as if I am cooking on the griddle, but cooking it in a skillet. The rice still comes out with a crispy texture and all the ingredients combines perfectly.
Store leftover fried rice in the refrigerator in an airtight container. The fried rice will last about 3-4 days and we think it taste even better the next day.

- ¼ cup Soy Sauce
- 2 teaspoons Sesame Oil
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
- ¼ teaspoon Ground Ginger
