We make a lot of recipes on our Blackstone Griddle, but making fried rice is probably one of my families favorites. It is always loaded with great flavor and is easy to make.

This simple pork fried rice can easily make this in a Wok or skillet on your stovetop. But we love the Blackstone cooks the pork quickly and easily and makes the rice with crispy edges.

What is Pork Fried Rice?
Pork Fried Rice is a classic restaurant style recipe. We made this recipe with pork tenderloin that has been diced or you can use leftover pork. It is mixed with savory sauce, leftover rice and vegetables.
We usually make pork fried rice with our leftovers as it makes a perfect second meal.
Ingredients
- Pork Tenderloin – You can also use ground pork
- Cooked Rice – Use cooled long-grain rice
- Soy Sauce – See Soy Sauce Substitutes if you are out
- Frozen Peas and Diced Carrots Blend – You can also add in other veggies such as broccoli, mushrooms, or chopped bell peppers

How to Make Pork Fried Rice on Blackstone Griddle
- Step 1 – Preheat the Blackstone grill over medium-high heat about 350 degrees.
- Step 2 – Add the vegetable oil onto the flat top griddle and use your spatula to spread it around.
- Step 3 – Place the diced pork on the grill on top of the vegetable oil and sauté (tossing occasionally) until the pork is cooked through (4-6 minutes). Push the pork to a cooler side of the grill.
- Step 4 – Then add in the peas and carrots mix. Sauté the vegetables for 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are soft.
- Step 5 – Move the vegetables to the cooler side of the griddle and then add the beaten eggs on the Blackstone griddle.
- Step 6 – Scramble the large eggs on the griddle. Move the scrambled eggs to the cooler side of the griddle with the vegetables.
- Step 7 – Then add the rice onto the griddle and top it with the sesame oil, soy sauce, salt and pepper. You can even added in red pepper flakes for a hint of spice.
- Step 8 – Sauté the rice on the griddle for 3-4 minutes until heated through and slightly browned.
- Step 9 – Then combine mixture together the pork, veggies, eggs and rice.
- Step 10 – Serve immediately while warm and enjoy. I love topping the pork fried rice with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving. This griddle recipe is always a crowd favorite.

- Work Fast – The Blackstone grill is hotter than a traditional skillet, so work fast to avoid the griddle from burning.
- Use Different Oil – You can easily use avocado oil, canola oil or coconut oil instead of the vegetable oil in this recipe.
- Pre Cooked Rice is Best – This fried rice recipe is best to made with cold rice. I usually use leftover rice and it’s makes the best fried rice.
- Gluten Free – If you want to make this gluten free, use Coconut aminos or a gluten free soy sauce
- Low carb – use cauliflower rice instead of regular rice.

I find that it’s best to use leftover rice for this recipe. Make sure that the rice is cold as it’s easier to sauté on the grill when it’s cold.
When making fried rice, we usually use white rice but you can use jasmine rice, brown rice or cauliflower rice.
Yes, we love cooking the fried rice on our stovetop. It is easy to do over medium heat with a Wok, large skillet or a cast iron skillet. Make sure to stir occasionally to ensure the ingredients are mixed together. You may need to work in batches depending on how much you are making.

Pork Fried Rice
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pound Pork Tenderloin diced into 1 inch pieces
- 2 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 4 cups cooked rice cooled
- 3 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup frozen peas and diced carrots blend
- 3 larges eggs light beaten
Instructions
- Preheat the Blackstone grill over medium low heat (approximately 350 degrees F).
- Add the vegetable oil onto the griddle and use your spatula to spread it around. Place the diced pork on the grill on top of the vegetable oil and sauté (tossing occasionally) until the pork is cooked through (4-6 minutes). Push the pork to a cooler side of the grill.

I’ve cooked this before and it is extremely good. I added a bit more soy sauce just because I like the salty flavor.
I don’t have a black stone grill. I saw I can use an iron skillet but how do I prepare this recipe in it?
Follow the recipe as written, but you will just use a cast iron skillet.
Replace the veg oil with 4-6 tbsp butter. Trust.
