How to Make Pretzel Bun Burger
For the Onions

Step 1 – Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the onions.

Step 2 – Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are soft. Then uncover and cook for an additional 5 minutes until the excess liquid cooks off. Deglaze the pan with the beer.
For the Burgers

Step 1 – Mix together the patty ingredients in a medium size mixing bowl.

Step 2 – Then form the beef into 4 patties that are approximately ½ pound each.

Step 3 – Place on the grill over direct heat and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until the patties reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. Then top with a slice of cheese.

Step 4 – Toast the buns then top with hamburger patty and caramelized onions. Place the top soft pretzel bun on top and then the burgers are ready to serve and enjoy!

- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Beer
For the Burgers:
- 4 Slices Swiss Cheese
- 4 Pretzel Buns
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 4 Lettuce Leaves
- 1 Tomato sliced
- Condiment of your Choice
Instructions
For the Onions:
- Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat.
- Add the onions.
- Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are soft.
- Then uncover and cook for an additional 5 minutes until the excess liquid cooks off. Deglaze the pan with the beer.
For the Burgers:
- Preheat a grill over medium heat (approximately 350-400 degrees F).
- Mix together the patty ingredients in a medium size mixing bowl.
- Then form the beef into 4 patties that are approximately ½ pound each.
- Place on the grill over direct heat and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until the patties reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
- Place a slice of cheese on the patties for the last minute of the cooking time to melt the cheese.
- Butter the pretzel buns and place them on the grill for approximately 1 minute to toast the buns.
- Remove the buns. Spread with a condiment of your choice and top with the lettuce and sliced tomatoes.
- Top with beef patties and caramelized onions.
- Place the top bun on top and then the burgers are ready to serve and enjoy!
