How to Make Grilled Apples

Step 1 – Wash the apples thoroughly and pat them dry. Cut into thick slices or wedges, about ½ to ¾ inch thick, removing the cores, stems and seeds. We like using a apple corer.

Step 2 – Place the apple slices in a bowl of water mixed with the lemon juice and let them soak for about 5 minutes. Drain and pat dry before grilling.

Step 3 – In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, and cinnamon. Add the allspice if using.

Step 4 – Make sure your grill rack is clean and well-oiled. Preheat a gas or charcoal grill (or grill pan) to medium heat (400°F).

Step 5 – Lightly brush both top of the apples with oil to prevent sticking. Place apples directly on the grill and brush the tops with the honey-butter glaze.

Step 6 – Grill for about 4 minutes per side, until tender and caramelized with visible grill marks. Brush with more glaze as they cook.
Step 7 – Remove from the grill, drizzle with extra honey, sprinkle with cinnamon, and top with chopped pecans if using. Serve warm and enjoy!
