These copycat Chick Fil A Grilled Chicken Nuggets easily grill or you can make them on the stove top. We love the flavor that the grill gives the pieces of chicken and the grill marks.

Why This Recipe Works

Chick Fil A is one of my favorite fast food restaurants to feed my family. But it can get expensive with my large family. Making these grilled nuggets at home saves me time and money.

The chicken cooks juicy and perfect for feeding a crowd.

Ingredients 

Chicken breasts, pickle juice, milk, powdered sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, olive oil

Variations Ideas

  • Seasoning – Feel free to use different seasoning to make this recipe. Add in onion powder, tsp garlic powder, or cayenne pepper.
  • Marinade – You can also use different marinade to marinate the chicken. You can use lemon juice or apple cider vinegar.

How to Make Chick Fil A Grilled Nuggets Recipe

Step 1 – Place the chicken, cup dill pickle juice and milk in a bowl.  Stir to combine and let the chicken marinade in this mixture for 30 minutes.  Remove the chicken from the marinade and pat it dry with paper towels.

Step 2 – Place the powdered sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika in a gallon size bag.

Step 4 – Add the chicken to the bag.

Step 5 – Then shake to combine all the ingredients.

  • Step 4 – Heat a grill pan or grill over medium high heat. Then rub the grates with olive oil so that the chicken does not stick.  
  • Step 5 – Place the chicken on the grill or grill pan. Then cook for approximately 4-6 minutes on each side of the chicken. Cook until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit). 
  • Step 6 – Serve with your favorite type of dipping sauce and enjoy. 

Recipe Tips

  • Cut Chicken – When preparing the chicken, but in the same small pieces. This ensures that the chicken cooks evenly.
  • Marinating Chicken – For the best results, we recommend marinating the chicken for at least 30 minutes before grilling.
  • Grilling Chicken – After breading the chicken, place the chicken on the grill. Cook the chicken until the temperature reaches 165 degrees.

How to Cook on the Stove

  • Prepare the chicken as the recipe card indicates.
  • Then heat a large skillet with olive oil over medium heat.
  • Place prepared chicken nuggets in the heated pan and cook. Making sure to constantly toss the chicken until fully cooked.
  • Once cooked, remove from the skillet and serve with your dipping sauce.

You can also cook in the oven on a baking sheet.

How to Store Leftovers

Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.  When you want to reheat the chicken nuggets, we recommend reheating in the air fryer.
