This grilled chicken sandwich is my favorite menu item at Chick-Fil-A. I can easily make it at home with simple ingredients. It taste amazing and saves me time and money.

Ingredients

Ingredients needed - Chicken, pickle juice, milk, powdered sugar, pepper salt, garlic powder, olive oil, lettuce, tomato, buns, dressing
  • Boneless Breast Chicken

  • Milk
  • Powdered Sugar

  • Green Leaf Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Multi-Grain Buns
  • Dressing of your choice

Variations Ideas

  • Buns – Feel free to make this sandwich with different types of bread. You can even serve it with a gluten-free bun or regular hamburger buns.
  • Additions – Make this grilled chicken sandwich your own by adding bacon, a slice of Colby jack cheese, pepper jack cheese, or BBQ Sauce. We have even topped it with Dijon Mustard for added flavor.

How to Make Chick-fil-A Grilled Chicken Sandwich

  • Step 1 – Whisk together the pickle juice, milk, powdered sugar, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  • Step 2 – Marinade the chicken fillets in this mixture for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.

  • Step 3 – Preheat the grill over medium-high heat (400 degrees F) and rub the grill grates with oil so the chicken does not stick.
  • Step 4 – Place the chicken directly on the grill grates and grill the chicken for 3-5 minutes on each side until the grilled tender chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.

  • Step 5 – Move the chicken to a separate plate to rest for at least 5 minutes.
  • Step 6 – Build your sandwich – Serve and enjoy.

Recipe Tips

  • Marinate Chicken – For delicious flavor, make sure to marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes.
  • Cooking Chicken – Cooking time will vary will make this boneless breast of chicken. We recommend using a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked to 145 degrees.
  • Rest Chicken – Allow chicken to rest before serving on a sandwich for at least 5 minutes.

What to Put on a Chick-fil-A Sandwich?

Start by spreading the dressing of your choice on one side of the top bun. Then top it with lettuce, tomatoes, and then the grilled chicken fillets. Then the sandwich is ready to serve and enjoy.

You can also butter and toast the buns before assembling the sandwiches if you prefer. It has an amazing taste served on a toasted multigrain bun.
