  • Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts – You can also make these wraps with leftover cooked chicken or grill chicken thighs.
  • Olive Oil – Use oil of your choice such as vegetable oil or avocado oil
  • Garlic Powder – See Garlic Powder Substitutes if you are out
  • Flour Tortillas – Use tortilla of your choice
  • Shredded Iceberg Lettuce – You can also use romaine lettuce or spinach
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese – Use choice of cheese
  • Ranch Dressing – Other sauce options option is BBQ Sauce
  • Toppings – Add other veggies such as sliced tomatoes, sliced avocado, red onion and bell pepper

How to Make Grilled Chicken Wrap

Step 1 – In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Step 2 – Brush the chicken breasts with this seasoning mixture, coating evenly on both sides.

Step 3 – Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Step 4 – Remove chicken from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.

Step 5 – Warm the tortillas to make them more pliable. Lay a tortilla flat. Place ½ cup of shredded lettuce in the center. Add ¼ of the sliced grilled chicken.

Step 6 – Sprinkle ¼ cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken. Add a few slices of tomato and avocado, if using.

Step 7 – Drizzle 2 tablespoons of ranch dressing on top.

Step 8 – Fold the bottom of the tortilla up and over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly to enclose the wrap. Slice each wrap diagonally and serve immediately.

  • Prepare Tortillas – Warming the tortillas helps make them more flexible and easier to fold without ripping. You can heat them up in a dry skillet, pop them in the microwave for 15-20 seconds, or wrap them in foil and throw them in the oven for a few minutes.
  • Serving Size – Two chicken breast usually makes enough for 4 Grilled chicken Wrap. You may be able divide the chicken into more wraps depending on how big your chicken is.
  • Chicken – We like to grill chicken that is about the same size so it cooks evenly and about the same time. You may need to filet the chicken to make it more even.

How to Keep Chicken Wrap From Getting Soggy

If making the chicken wraps ahead of time, we recommend making the wrap once the chicken has cooled. If the chicken is to warm, the juices from the chicken could cause the wrap to be soggy. We also recommend making sure the lettuce is completely dry before adding it to the wrap.
