Expert Tips

  • Dipping Bread – When dipping the bread into the egg mixture only leave the bread in for less than a minute to prevent the bread from getting soggy.
  • Cooking French Toast – When preheating the Blackstone Griddle, we recommend preheating to low to medium heat. This will prevent the cereal from burning. You can also cook in a non stick skillet on the stovetop.
  • Serving French Toast – We like serving French Toast warm for the best flavor and texture.

What is the Best Bread to Use?

When we make French Toast we like to make it with thicker bread such as Texas Toast, French Baguette, Brioche Bread, or Challah Bread. If you only have sandwich loaf bread, then that will work also.

We just recommend using day old white bread or almost stale bread for the best French Toast Recipe.
