I love cooking my side dish recipes on the grill anytime we grill out. Grilled vegetables are cooked tender and full of flavor, thanks to the grill.

We enjoy grilled broccoli in foil and grilled asparagus in foil, but cooking these peppers directly on the grill grates is my favorite. The charred skin and the soft edges make these easy grilled peppers recipe the perfect side dish or toppings to many of our favorite grilled meats.

  • Seasoning – You can easily add different types of seasoning to these bell peppers. Balsamic Vinegar, Garlic, thyme, oregano or fresh basil are great additions. We have used Italian Seasoning for the perfect blend of spices.
  • Roasted Peppers – We love the flavor of the roasted red peppers but we have even added green bell peppers and onion for delicious flavor.

Step 5 – Remove the peppers from the grill.  Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm and enjoy!

Recipe Tips:

  • Preparing Vegetables – Slice peppers about the same size so they cook evenly. Prepare pepper by cutting in strips or larger pieces and make sure to remove the stems. This will prevent from falling through the grill grates. If you are grilling in a grill pan or grill basket you can cut into smaller pieces.
  • Cooking Vegetables – We recommend using a pair of tongs to flip the vegetables. Cook for about 5 minutes per side.
  • Oil – We like to brush the vegetables with oil to prevent them from sticking to the grill grates. You can also brush with melted butter.
