Texas Roadhouse is my family’s favorite special occasional restaurant. But I knew I could make their shrimp taste even better. This recipe was a hit with my family which saved me money and time.

Recipe Variations
- Melted Butter – You can serve these grilled shrimp with melted butter for added flavor.
- Change Seasoning – Feel free to change the seasoning to what you have on hand. You can add in onion powder, fresh lemon juice and black pepper. Adding lemon, pepper and butter gives the shrimp so much flavor. We have even used old bay seasoning and Italian Seasoning for delicious flavor.
- Spicy – Add in red pepper flakes for a spicy flavor if you prefer.
How to Make Texas Roadhouse Grilled Shrimp
- Step 1 – Combine Marinade Ingredients – Whisk together the olive oil, salt, pepper, lemon juice, oregano, garlic powder and paprika.
- Step 2 – Marinade Shrimp – Place the large shrimp that has been devein in the large mixing bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes or up to 2 hours. While the shrimp is marinating, soak the wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.
- Step 3 – Heat Grill – Preheat a grill over medium high heat (approximately 400 degrees F). Then thread the shrimp gently onto the wooden skewers.
- Step 4 – Grill Shrimp Skewers – Place the skewers directly on the hot grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
- Step 5 – Serve and Enjoy – Serve immediately garnished with the fresh parsley and lemon wedges on a serving platter. You can have drizzle garlic butter of the top. Enjoy!

- Cooking Shrimp – When cooking shrimp make sure that the shrimp turn almost pink, firm and slightly white before removing from grill. You can also cook the shrimp on the Blackstone Griddle or a Non-Stick Pan.
- Threading Shrimp- Run skewer through each shrimp ensuring they are as flat surface with tails facing up to thread shrimp on wooden skewers or metal skewer.
- Grilling Shrimp – You can also place the seasoned shrimp in a grill pan.
