Why Make this Recipe
Carrots have the perfect sweet flavor and adding the strips of bacon and the maple glaze makes them even better. I love making these whether we grill out chicken, pork chops and steaks for a delicious to any main course.
The ingredients are simple and I can make them in variety of ways for our holiday dinner.
Ingredients

- Whole Carrots – We like to peel the carrots before placing the salty bacon on them. Leave the leaves on the carrots.
- Bacon – Use any type of thinly sliced bacon
- Maple Syrup – We recommend using pure maple syrup

How to Make Bacon Wrapped Carrots
- Step 1 – Preheat a grill over high heat (approximately 450 degrees Fahrenheit) and create an indirect heating zone on your grill.
- Step 2 – Wash and peel the carrots. Then wrap each carrot with slice of bacon making sure that the ends overlap.
- Step 3 – Sprinkle salt and black pepper on top.

- Step 4 – Place the carrots on the grill over the indirect medium heat zone. Close the lid on the grill and cook for 25-30 minutes (flip them approximately every 5 minutes) until the maple bacon carrots are tender.

- Step 5 – Brush both sides of the carrots and savory bacon pieces with maple syrup. Then cook for 5-8 minutes until the syrup starts to bubble slightly and maple bacon is crispy.
