This chicken curry marinade recipe takes your chicken to the next level. This flavorful spices, curry powder, and coconut milk makes chicken breast so amazing.

Why is it Important to Marinate Chicken?
- Adds Flavor – Chicken can be bland if no seasoning or if you do not marinate the chicken. The marinade actually seeps into your chicken for amazing flavor.

- Simple Marinade – Adding any type of marinade to your chicken is one of my favorite ways to make a delicious dinner. It can be as simple as Italian Dressing. Simple ingredient marinade as sometimes the best marinade.

- Curry Powder

Variations Ideas
- Hint of Sweetness – If you would like a little hint of sweetness add in a tablespoons of brown sugar.
- Seasoning – Feel free to add in additional seasoning for added flavor. Add in a teaspoons of minced garlic cloves, garlic powder, cumin, or turmeric.
- Greek Yogurt Chicken Marinade – Feel free to add Greek Yogurt to you marinade. Yogurt Curry Chicken Marinade adds flavor and makes a creamy marinade.
- Juices – We can add in lemon juice to your boneless chicken breast or bone-in chicken. We have even added in lime juice or tomato juice for delicious flavor.
- Spicy Chicken Marinade – You can even add in a teaspoon of red chili powder or red pepper flakes. This adds a spicy flavor. It just just hint a spice that your kids will still eat it.
How to Make Chicken Curry Marinade:
Step 1 – Combine Marinade Ingredients – Whisk all the ingredients except for the chicken in a small mixing bowl.
Step 2 – Blend in a Food Processor – All all the ingredients except for the chicken to a blender or food processor. Blend the ingredients until smooth.
Step 3 – Place Chicken – Place the chicken in a large bowl or large zip lock bag.
Step 4 – Pour the marinade on top of the chicken.
- Step 5 – Refrigerate – Refrigerate and allow it to marinade for at least 2 hours or up to 12 hours.
- Step 6 – Heat Grill – Then preheat your grill over medium high heat (approximately 400 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Step 7 – Oil Grill Grates – Rub the grill grates with oil so that the chicken does not stick.
- Step 8 – Cook Chicken – Place the marinated chicken pieces directly on the grill grate. Then cook for 6-7 minutes per side until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Cooking time will vary.
- Step 9 – Remove Chicken – Remove the grilled chicken from the grill, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes. Then the chicken is ready to slice, serve and enjoy.
Recipe Tips
- Meat Thermometer – Use an instant-read meat thermometer to make sure that the chicken is cooked to a safe temperature. The internal temperature reaches 165 then chicken is done.
- Meal Prep – This is the perfect chicken recipe to meal prep with. Cook at the beginning of the week and slice and serve with a side of rice and roasted vegetables.
- Heat Grill – Place placing the chicken on the grill, make sure you heat to medium heat. Oil the grill grates to help to easily cook both sides of the chicken. Oil it with canola oil, vegetable oil or olive oil.
- Pound Chicken – To flatten out the chicken on the thickest part, we recommend pounding the chicken. This helps to cook the chicken evenly.
- Oven – You can easily use this marinade to bake in the oven. Marinate chicken and bake for about 20 minutes in an oven at 400 degrees. Cooking time will vary based on the size of chicken.
