Recipe Notes

Use metal skewers for this recipe as the wood skewers are not strong enough to pierce the Brussel sprouts.

Recipe Tips

  • Use Similar Size Sprouts – They’ll cook evenly and prevents the brussel sprouts from overcooking,
  • Don’t overcrowd the grill – Leave space for air circulation to ensure that all sides cook with the charred edges.
  • Try a Grill Basket – It makes flipping easier and prevents losing sprouts through the grates.

Variations Ideas

  • Honey Balsamic Brussels Sprouts – Drizzle with honey and balsamic vinegar before grilling.
  • Cheesy Brussels – Sprinkle shredded Parmesan in the last few minutes of grilling the brussels sprouts for a delicious variation.
  • Spicy Kick – Add red pepper flakes or a drizzle of sriracha.
  • Bacon Lover’s Version – Toss grilled sprouts with crisp bacon pieces.
  • Add Crunch – Top with toasted almonds or breadcrumbs for extra texture.
