We have been making kabobs a lot lately since the weather is getting warmer. You may have tried Best Steak Kabobs, Greek Chicken Kabobs or my personal favorite Grilled Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs Recipe.

Grilled Seafood Recipes are always on the weekly menu so I decided to use salmon to make kabobs. They turned out delicious and full of flavor.

Why We Love This Recipe

These kabobs start with the salmon cubes marinating in a delicious homemade marinade. Then they are placed on a wooden skewer with lemon slices for added citrus flavors.

These kabobs cook quick and easy with tons of flavor. We love the healthy benefits of salmon and making into a kabobs makes them even better.

Variations Ideas

Kabobs are great as you can make them in a variety of ways. Feel free to add vegetables such red onion or diced zucchini. You can even change the season by substituting or adding one of these spices. We recommend fresh parsley, cumin or fresh thyme.

Brushing oil on the grill grates

Step 4 – Preheat an outdoor grill over medium high heat until the grill reaches 350 degrees Fahrenheit.  Oil the grill grates carefully so that the salmon does not stick to the grates.

Step 5 – Assemble the skewers with a lemon slice folded in half between each piece of salmon.  Continue this process until all the salmon is placed on skewers.

Step 6 – Place the kabobs directly on the grill grates.  Grill for 3-4 minutes per side until the salmon is cooked through.

  • Step 7 – Remove from the grill.  Let the kabobs sit for 5 minutes.
  • Step 8 – Top the kabobs with the sesame seeds and then they are ready to serve and enjoy!

Recipe Tips

  • Skewers – You can make these salmon skewers with wooden skewers or metal skewers. Just make sure to soak the wooden ones to prevent them from burning.
  • Cutting Salmon – We recommend cutting salmon about the same size so it cooks evenly and about the same time.
  • Marinating Salmon – We like to marinate the salmon for at least 30 minutes for the best flavor.
