How to Make Grilled Salmon Kabobs
Step 1 – Soak bamboo skewers in a shallow pan filled with warm water. Let soak for 30 minutes.
Step 2 – In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all the marinade ingredients.
Step 3 – Place the diced salmon pieces in the bowl with the marinade. Refrigerate and allow for the salmon to marinate for 20-30 minutes.
Step 4 – Preheat an outdoor grill over medium high heat until the grill reaches 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Oil the grill grates carefully so that the salmon does not stick to the grates.
Step 5 – Assemble the skewers with a lemon slice folded in half between each piece of salmon. Continue this process until all the salmon is placed on skewers.
Step 6 – Place the kabobs directly on the grill grates. Grill for 3-4 minutes per side until the salmon is cooked through.
- Step 7 – Remove from the grill. Let the kabobs sit for 5 minutes.
- Step 8 – Top the kabobs with the sesame seeds and then they are ready to serve and enjoy!
Recipe Tips
- Skewers – You can make these salmon skewers with wooden skewers or metal skewers. Just make sure to soak the wooden ones to prevent them from burning.
- Cutting Salmon – We recommend cutting salmon about the same size so it cooks evenly and about the same time.
- Marinating Salmon – We like to marinate the salmon for at least 30 minutes for the best flavor.
