Blackstone Spaghetti Squash Recipe:

Blackstone Spaghetti Squash is a delicious side dish that cooks quickly and easily on the grill. This great low carb side dish is delicious topped with with simple seasoning or your favorite marinara sauce.

The spaghetti squash is prepared by removing the seeds then heated in the microwave for about 5 minutes. Then it is finished cooking on the griddle for a side dish that is great with many different main dish.

Can you Cook Spaghetti Squash on Blackstone Griddle?

Yes, you can cook spaghetti squash on the griddle. We love how the griddle heats the squash tender to easily season it and serve.

Ingredients needed - squash, butter, salt and pepper, garlic powder

Ingredients: 

  • Spaghetti Squash (3-4 pounds)
  • Butter 
  • Salt 
  • Pepper 
  • Garlic Powder 

How to Cook Spaghetti Squash on Blackstone Griddle: 

  • Step 1 – Score the spaghetti squash along the sides of the squash (where you will cut the squash in half) approximately ⅛-¼ inch deep.  Then poke the squash in a few places with a knife or dinner fork to allow steam to escape during the cooking of the squash.

  • Step 2 – Place the squash in a baking dish and microwave on high for 5 minutes.  Do not microwave the squash for longer than 5 minutes. 
  • Step 3 – Then cut the squash in half lengthwise.  Be careful as the squash will be hot, so you will likely need to use oven mitts.  Scoop out the seeds from each half of the squash.

  • Step 4 – Place the squash halves upside down in the baking dish.  Place approximately 1 inch of water in the dish with the squash.  Microwave on high for 5 minutes. 
  • Step 5 – Then check the squash.  A fork should easily poke through the skin of the squash.  If it’s not done yet, continue to cook for 2-5 more minutes until done. 
  • Step 6 – Remove the squash from the baking dish and use a fork to scrape the stand of squash from the inside.  Move to a bowl.

  • Step 7 – Preheat the Blackstone grill over medium heat (approximately 350 degrees F). Rub half of the butter onto the grill.

  • Step 8 – Spread the squash out onto the grill and sauté for 1-2 minutes to brown the squash slightly.

  • Step 9 – Watch closely so that the squash does not over cook.  Place the remaining butter on top and toss to coat the spaghetti squash with the butter.  Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

  • Step 10 – Remove from the Blackstone grill, serve warm and enjoy!

How to Cook Spaghetti Squash on Stove Top:

You can also cook spaghetti squash on the stove top. Prepare the spaghetti squash as directed or place spaghetti squash in the oven.

Cooking Grilled Spaghetti Squash Tips:

  • Spaghetti Squash – Cut spaghetti squash cut side on a cutting board with a sharp knife.
  • Spaghetti Squash on the Grill – Cooking spaghetti squash on the griddle allows you to cook the squash on indirect heat.
  • Heating Squash – Do not over cook squash in the microwave. Check it after 5 minutes.
