Tips for Avocado Bacon Burgers:

  • Oil Variation – Use any oil with a high smoke point. Vegetable oil, canola oil, coconut oil or avocado oil will all work great in this recipe.
  • Cooking Burger – To ensure you have a juicy burger, cook the burgers on the griddle. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the burger. We usually cook the burgers about 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
  • Placing burger on griddle – Use a burger press to slightly press the burger balls on the griddle.
  • Bacon – You can use any flavor of bacon. They have smoked bacon, pepper bacon and even sweet bacon.
  • Cutting Avocado – There are different ways to slice the avocado and we show step by step instructions here. Avocado’s can be sliced or diced depending how you want to enjoy them.

Substitutions and Additions:

  • Seasoning – We use a simple seasoning to mix in the ground beef. You can even add in some garlic powder for adding flavor.
  • Avocado – We love to enjoy slice avocado on the burger. But you can also top with guacamole on the burger instead of slice avocado.
  • Add Cheese – Add cheese to the burger for added flavor. You can add a slice of pepper jack cheese or cheddar cheese.

When you are ready to serve your leftovers, place the burgers on a microwave safe plate and reheat. I usually reheat in 30 seconds intervals until thoroughly heated.

Can you Make this on the Stove?

Yes, you can make this on the stove. If you don’t have a Blackstone or the weather is to cold, cook the burgers inside. We recommend cooking the burgers in a cast iron skillet.

The burgers will come out similar to cooking them on the griddle.
