How to Cook Bacon Wrapped Asparagus on Blackstone Griddle
- Step 1 – Cut off the tough ends of the asparagus. Cut each thin slice bacon in half. Wrap each of the asparagus spears with a piece of the bacon at an angle making sure to not overlap the bacon.
- Step 2 – Preheat the Blackstone grill over medium high heat (approximately 400 degrees F).
- Step 3 – Spread the olive oil out onto the grill and use a spatula to spread it out as evenly as possible.
- Step 4 – Place the wrapped asparagus bundles with the bacon seam side down onto the grill. Cook for 7-10 minutes per side, flipping the asparagus frequently to cook the bacon evenly and to keep the spears wrapped in the bacon.
- Step 5 – When the bacon is crispy and the asparagus is tender, remove from the grill. Let it sit for 3-5 minutes, then the asparagus is ready to serve and enjoy!

How to Cook in the Oven
Place the bacon wrapped asparagus onto a rimmed baking sheet lined with foil. Bake in a preheated oven to 400 degrees F for 7-10 minutes until the bacon is crispy (flip the asparagus halfway through the cook time so that the bacon cooks evenly).
For the last minute, we like to broil the bacon wrapped asparagus to get the bacon extra crispy.
How to Trim Asparagus Spears
When preparing Asparagus Spears for the griddle it is important to cut off the woody ends that are tough. To figure out where to cut, gently bend the bundle of asparagus. Where the asparagus bends is the start of the tender part.
Then line the large piece of asparagus up on a cutting board and cut with a sharp knife. This allows you trim the tough part off the stem.
Wash the asparagus thoroughly, season and wrap in bacon.
