Ingredients - Chicken breasts, oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, BBQ Sauce
  • Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts – You can also use Chicken Thighs
  • Avocado Oil – I love using avocado oil or olive oil on the Blackstone grill but use cooking oil of choice. For example, canola oil and vegetable oil are all great options as well.
  • Simple Spices – Use kosher salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika
  • BBQ Sauce – Use your favorite type and flavor of BBQ Sauce

How to Make BBQ Chicken on the Blackstone

Step 1 – Preheat a Blackstone Grill (or griddle) over medium high heat.

Step 2 – Mix the seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika) together in a small bowl.

Step 3 – Season both sides of the chicken breasts or thighs from this seasoning mixture.

Step 4 – Spread the oil out onto the grill in a thin layer.

Step 5 – Add the chicken to the grill. Let the chicken sit for 5-6 minutes until the one side of the chicken is seared and browned.

Step 6 – Flip the chicken and cook the other side for 5-6 more minutes until browned and the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165 degrees F).

Step 7 – Brush both sides of the chicken with the BBQ sauce and cook each side for about a minute to heat it through. Remove from the grill. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes. Then it’s ready to serve and enjoy!
