Step 3 – Season both sides of the chicken breasts or thighs from this seasoning mixture.

Recipe Notes
- Use Meat Thermometer – I use an instant read meat thermometer to make sure that the chicken is cooked through to a safe temperature of 165 degrees.
- Adding BBQ Sauce – Once the BBQ sauce is added to the chicken, watch it closely while cooking as it doesn’t take long for the sauce to start to burn.
- Other Cooking Methods – If you do not have a Blackstone grill, this recipe can easily be made in a large cast iron skillet on your stovetop or grill.
- Spicy BBQ Chicken – Add chipotle or cayenne pepper to your sauce for amazing flavor.
- Honey BBQ Chicken – Stir honey into your sauce for extra sweetness.
- Add Smoke Flavor – Mix a bit of liquid smoke into your sauce. You can even cook the chicken on the grill for amazing flavor and grill marks.
