We recommend using a cast iron skillet or a Wok as it is similar to the griddle but any skillet will work.

  • Remove vegetables from skillet then add in shrimp and peppers and cook for a few minutes.

  • Serve the shrimp fried rice topped with sesame seeds.

Tips for Shrimp Stir Fry:

  • Cooking Shrimp- It doesn’t take long to cook the shrimp. Make sure to not over cook the shrimp so it doesn’t get rubbery.
  • Vegetables – We recommend cutting the vegetables about the same size. This make sure they cook evenly and tender.
  • Use Different Oil – You can easily use avocado oil, canola oil or coconut oil instead of the vegetable oil in this recipe.
  • Heat Blackstone – Make sure Blackstone is preheated before adding vegetables to griddle.

Substitutions and Variations:

  • Shrimp – We used uncooked shrimp for this recipe, but you can easily use precooked shrimp.
  • Vegetables – This is a great recipe to use leftover vegetables. Feel free to use vegetables that you already have.
  • Cooked Rice – Stir fry cooked rice with the mixture on the flat top. Stir fry rice with the vegetables and shrimp and serve.
  • Use Beef – This stir fry would be delicious with beef or pork.
  • Scrambled Eggs – Scramble some eggs and mix with the stir fry. This adds extra protein and flavor to the stir fry.
  • Soy Sauce Substitution – You can substitute soy sauce for coconut aminos.

What is the Best Shrimp to use?

The perfect shrimp to use on the griddle is the large, jumbo or colossal size shrimp. We buy the shrimp that is already peeled and deveined. But you can grill shrimp with the peel on.

I like to keep things easy, so I look for the shrimp that is already peeled. When cooking shrimp on the Blackstone, always buy raw shrimp.
