Step 2 – On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough ball to fit the size of the skillet.

Step 3 – Carefully transfer the rolled-out dough to the prepared skillet, pressing it into the bottom and up the sides of the pan.

Step 4 – Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the top of the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

Step 5 – Sprinkle 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.

Step 6 – Evenly distribute the sliced pepperoni over the cheese. Drizzle the remaining 1 tablespoon of avocado oil over the toppings.
Step 7 – Carefully place the skillet on the grill and close the lid. Grill for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Rotate the skillet occasionally for even cooking.

Step 9 – Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh basil leaves. Slice pizza with a knife or a pizza cutter and serve with grated Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.

Recipe Notes
- Crispy Crust – It’s the secret to that crispy, restaurant-style crust is to make sure the oven is preheated. For a crispier crust, preheat the cast iron skillet on the grill for a few minutes before adding the pizza dough.
- Add Oil to Pan – Helps prevent sticking and adds flavor to the pizza crust.
- Don’t overload Toppings – Too many can make the crust soggy.
- Add Cheese First – Adding the cheese then the toppings keeps everything melty and balanced.
- Let Pizza Rest – A few minutes of cooling makes it easier to slice and serve.
- Margherita – Fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomato slices. You can even make this on a gluten free pizza crust.
- BBQ Chicken – BBQ sauce, shredded chicken, red onion, and cheddar.
- Veggie Supreme – Bell peppers, onions, olives, and mushrooms.
- Meat Lover’s – Pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and ham.
