Ingredients: 

Mexican Pizza ingredients - ground beef, taco seasoning, water, flour tortillas, refried beans, enchilada sauce, mexican cheese, sour cream, tomato, green onions, black olives
  • Vegetable Oil 
  • Ground Beef
  • Taco Seasoning 
  • Water
  • Taco size Flour Tortillas
  • Refried Beans 15 oz
  • Red Enchilada Sauce 10 oz
  • Shredded Mexican Cheese
  • Sour Cream 
  • Tomato diced
  • Green Onions (sliced) 
  • Black Olives sliced

Variations Ideas:

  • Change the Crust – Change the crust to naans bread, pizza dough crust, or flat bread. You can also use corn tortillas or make this Grilled Pizza Dough.
  • Toppings – Feel free to add your favorite toppings for the top of the tortilla. Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, and vegetables.
  • Cheese – Use different types of cheese such as mozzarella cheese or cheddar cheese.

Step by Step Instructions: 

  • Step 1 – Preheat the Blackstone Grill over medium high heat to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.  
  • Step 2 – Spread the vegetable oil onto the grill and spread it around with a spatula.

Step 3 – Add the ground beef to one side of the griddle.  Brown the beef and break it apart as it cooks.

Step 4 – Season the beef with the taco seasoning.  Pour the water on top and gently toss to coat the beef with the taco seasoning.

Step 5 – While the beef is browning, warm the tortillas by placing them on the other side of the Blackstone Grill.

Step 6 – Microwave the refried beans to make them easier to spread. Top with a layer of the refried beans on half of the warmed tortillas and then top with the taco meat.

Step 7 – Then place the other tortilla on top. Place some of the red enchilada sauce on top of the 2nd tortilla and place shredded cheese on top. Continue this process until all the pizzas are assembled.

Step 8 – Cover the pizzas with a dome or close the lid on the Blackstone Grill.  Cook until the bottom tortilla is crispy and the cheese on the Mexican pizzas is melted. Carefully remove from the griddle and serve with your favorite toppings.

Recipe Tips:

  • Cook Meat – You can cook the meat on the prepared griddle to make everything on the griddle. Make sure you preheat the griddle to prevent the meat from sticking.
  • Taco Seasoning – You can use the taco seasoning packets or make Homemade Taco Seasoning.
