Variations Ideas

  • Big Mac Sauce – Add a big mac sauce to the tortilla before placing on the ground beef. We have even added mayo, relish and mustard to make it taste just like a delicious burger.
  • Tortillas – We used flour tortilla but you can also use corn tortillas or other types of tortillas. There are many that fit within your diet restrictions.
  • Tacos – We love to add our favorite toppings when serving these smash tacos. Add hot sauce, top with lettuce, pickles, onion and sour cream.
  • Ground Beef – Instead of using ground beef you can also ground turkey.
  • Seasoning – Feel free to change the seasoning that you add to the ground beef. We recommend adding in tsp garlic powder, onion powder and more.
  • Cheese – We like to add our favorite shredded cheese to this smash taco recipe. We have added American cheese, Monterey Jack Cheese and Pepper Jack Cheese.

Step 4 – Add Beef to Grill – Place the beef on the grill.  Top each ball with a piece of parchment paper.  Use a large spatula or press, press each one down to smash the beef as thin as possible.  We like to season with salt and pepper.
