- Oil – Use oil of your choice
- Paprika – See Paprika Substitutes if you are out
- Italian Seasoning – If you are out, try making Homemade Italian Seasoning

How to Make Smoked Halibut
- Step 1 – Preheat your smoker to 225 degrees F and rub 1 tablespoon oil on the grates in the smoker to prevent the fish from sticking.
Step 2 – Mix together the seasoning in a small bowl.
Step 3 – Use a basting brush to rub the olive oil onto the Halibut filets.
Step 4 – Season the fish with the seasoning mixture.
Step 5 – Place the fish fillets directly on the grill grates in the smoker.
- Step 6 – Smoke for 45-60 minutes until the fish reaches an internal temperature of 140 degrees F.
- Step 7 – Remove from the smoker and let the fish rest for 5 minutes and then it’s ready to serve with fresh lemon squeezed on top and enjoy!
